We saw this little guy when we peeked out window yesterday! At first he was in the bushes that were very low to the ground. A little research on Ohio owls led us to conclude it is a Saw whet Owl. They say he is very friendly and he was quite nonplussed when my son went out to see him in person. He later flew up into our crab apple tree. What a wonderful surprise!

Oh how cool! A couple summers ago we found a little baby owl in the street and the kids adored it...we had to take it to a wild life nursery to get "fixed up". I think they are such beautiful creatures.
