New Baby T Shirt Quilt Blankets

Some time ago, my niece and her friend commissioned me to make a baby blanket.  You have heard me refer to this as a "Daddy Quilt" as I really love the idea of incorporating dad's shirts into a baby blanket as a way of honoring dad!  (Not to mention as a way of getting rid of a few of his T shirts!)

My niece had a baby shower to attend so I kept this under wraps until the shower was over.  She did ask the mom-to-be for some shirts for a special project.  The shirts are a combination of mom's and dad's.

My niece joined me in picking out the fabrics.  We had a hard time integrating all the colors of the shirts!  Why can't Cleveland sports teams have all the same colors?????

My niece was kind enough to call me the minute she left the shower to tell me what a hit the blanket was!  Grandma-to-be was in tears!

The use of the minky was a fun, new option for me.

I had a few extra shirts, so I made a burp cloth and a tactile blanket!
